Agsu region print

Agsu region was formed in 1943. It was abolished in 1963 and was joined to Kurdemir region. It regained an independent region status in 1965.

Relief. The relief of the region is highland including Niyaldagh, Hingar, Langabiz ranges in the North and North-East. Southern areas are lowlands bordering on Shirvan plain. Aghsuchay flows through the central part of the region, Girdiman river passes through the Western part of the region. Aghsu city is situated on both banks of the Aghsuchay, North-East end of Shirvan plain and on the foothills of the Hingar range.
